It looks like there will be a musical guest for G-Day after all.
Thursday afternoon, Georgia official athletic Twitter feed sent out a Tweet that rapper Ludacris will perform prior to Saturday’s game (4 p.m., ESPU).
According to the tweet, the brief performance will begin at 3:45.
Recruit reaction was immediate and positive.
Christopher Brian “Chris” Bridges, aka Ludacris, is an Atlanta resident and noted Bulldog fan who has won Screen Actors Guild, Critics Choice, MTV and Grammy Awards during his career.
On Tuesday, athletic director Greg McGarity told reporters that the school had attempted to bring in some big-name acts to perform prior to the but was unable to do so due primarily to tour conflicts.
