Lemon finds a home
Former Bulldog Michael Lemon has a chance to back in the SEC.
UGASports has learned that South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier will allow the defensive end an opportunity to turn his life around as a walk-on with the Gamecocks this fall.
Two former teammates of Lemon's at Georgia confirmed the story on condition of anonymity.
Lemon could not immediately be reached for comment.
Georgia fans will remember Lemon, a 6-4, 250-pound defensive end from Lizella, who was kicked off the team by head coach Mark Richt after he was arrested and charged with felony battery incident last June.
After leaving Georgia, Lemon spent last season at Georgia Military College where he teamed with linebacker Tony Straughter and offensive lineman Steven Singleton who signed with the Gamecocks on Wednesday.
