Jones SEC OL of the Week

ATHENS-----University of Georgia junior Nick Jones has been named the Southeastern Conference Offensive Lineman of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Jones, a 6-3, 285-pound guard from Bowdon, Ga., helped anchor a Bulldog offensive unit that tallied 395 yards of total offense in the 45-13 win over Kentucky this past Saturday. The victory clinched the SEC Eastern Division title for the 13th-ranked Bulldogs as they improved to 8-2 overall and 6-2 in the SEC. Jones graded out at 91 percent for the game and had four "dominator" blocks. Georgia posted seven scoring drives including six for touchdowns and one field goal against the Wildcats.

Jones is the fourth different Bulldog offensive lineman to earn the SEC weekly honor this season. Jones joins senior Max Jean-Gilles (twice), senior Daniel Inman (twice) and senior Dennis Roland (once) as honorees by the SEC.
Up next, the Bulldogs face 20th-ranked Ga. Tech Saturday in Atlanta at 8 p.m.
