According to the Clarke County Sheriff department jail report, UGA sophomore
linebacker Dannell Ellerbe was arrested late Thursday and charged with four

offenses.
The charges were underage possession of alcohol, giving false information,
theft by taking of a motor vehicle, and driving under the influence of alcohol.
According to a published newspaper report, the incident occurred early Thursday
morning when police responded to a single car accident on River Road on UGA's
east campus. Police found Ellerbe outside the car which had run into a tree. He
was transported to the hospital and later charged.
