Georgia Lands A Big Commitment

Georgia on Sunday garnered a verbal commitment from Tucker High School running back Thomas Brown.
The 5-foot-10, 186-pounder chose the defending SEC champion Bulldogs over Maryland, FSU, Tennessee, LSU, Notre Dame, Nebraska, Arkansas, Arizona State, North Carolina, Penn State and Virginia.

"Georgia had all the things I was looking for in a college," said Brown. "I didn't see any reason to wait any longer when I'd already found what I'm looking for."
Brown is ranked the No. 3 running back in America by Rivals.com. He led Tucker High School to a 12-1 record as a junior last year and rushed for about 1,650 yards and 21 touchdowns.
Brown is the third player to committ to play for the Dawgs next season. Peach County High School signal-caller Alonzo Bryant Jr. and Hawkinsville High defensive end Charles Johnson also have pledged to play for UGA in 2004.
