Georgia Football Team Schedules Memorabilia Auction
To Support Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund
ATHENS--------The University of Georgia football team will kick off a five-week online auction, Sunday, Oct. 16, to support ongoing Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.
Unable to take part in the bucketing efforts conducted by other student-athletes and campus community members during the South Carolina football game, the Bulldog football team members decided to create the online auction to generate funds to support the hurricane relief effort.
The team autographed twenty one items that will go up for auction on the Georgia Athletic Association's official web site: beginning October 16 and continuing through November 19. The items include two complete team autographed game-used helmets, two complete autographed team footballs, position-specific autographed game-used helmets and position-specific commemorative footballs.
