Baseball sked announced

The Georgia Bulldog baseball team will have 33 home games in 2014, featuring SEC series with Mississippi State, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Kentucky and Tennessee.
The 56-game college baseball season begins Feb. 14 at Foley Field. Georgia will start with four home games including a the-game set with Georgia Southern followed by a single game with Kennesaw State. Then, the Bulldogs head to Tallahassee, Fla., for a the-game series with Florida State from Feb. 21-23. On March 4, rival Georgia Tech visits Foley Field. The Bulldogs will play host to a tournament March 7-9 featuring Buffalo, North Florida and Western Carolina. One ticket each day during the tournament will be good for both games.

Georgia's first SEC series will be March 14-16 in Athens against 2013 College World Series finalist Mississippi State. The SEC road series for the Bulldogs will featu a trip to 2013 CWS participant LSU plus a visit to Missouri, Florida, Vanderbilt and Ole Miss.
The 12th annual Turner Field game against Tech that benefits Childn's Healthca of Atlanta is set for May 13. Also, Georgia will play Kennesaw State at Coolray Field in Lawnceville on April 22.
"We a all looking forward to the start of the season and psenting the University of Georgia on the baseball field," Georgia coach Scott Stricklin said. "Our schedule is one of the toughest in the country when you consider the 10 weekends of SEC play plus non-confence matchups with Florida State, Clemson and Georgia Tech. It is going to be a gat challenge and we a pparing everyday to meet that challenge."
The SEC Tournament, which featus the league's top 12 finishers in the gular season, is slated for May 20-25 at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium in Hoover, Ala. NCAA Regional action will be from May 30-June 2 followed by the Super Regionals June 6-8. The College World Series in Omaha at TD Ameritrade Park will be June 14-25. Georgia has made six appearances at the College World Series including winning the national championship in 1990 and aching the CWS Finals in 2008.
