Georgia received is second commitment for the class of 2006 on April 2nd when offensive lineman
Justin Anderson of Irwin County cast his lot with the Bulldogs. "Everyone is so close up there. It is like one big family and I can't wait to be a part of that," said Anderson.

Shortly after national signing day last year, UGASports.com introduced subscribers to Anderson who at the time had just one scholarship offer, and that was from Georgia Tech.
He had two conditional offers, from Georgia and Michigan, that would become written offers if he managed to get his academic affairs in order. Despite his only written offer being from Tech, Anderson noted that the Bulldogs were his favorite team.
Shortly thereafter, UGA presented him with a written scholarship offer and invited him to attend Junior Day and watch one of the team's spring practice scrimmages. Arriving on campus on April 3rd, the first thing he did was commit to head coach Mark Richt.
"I have always liked Georgia," he said at the time. "They have been my team for a long time. They were my childhood favorite growing up. I wasn't even thinking about anyone else. I knew all along Georgia was where I wanted to go."
He had picked UGA over Tech, Nebraska, and Michigan.
In May, UGASports.com released the Elite 11, and Anderson made the cut.
In early June, Rivals.com AMP team produced a feature on the Bulldogs' early burst in recruiting, and Anderson was one of the players featured. Later that month he was named to the Georgia 75 by Rivals.com. In early August he was named to the revised Rivals100 list and AMP ran a feature on the newcomers to the revised list.
Early in his senior season, Anderson was not pleased with the way that he or his team was playing. That changed over time and he was invited to the U.S. Army All American Bowl in San Antonio.
In the week of practice leading up to the game, he did not impress those covering the practice, but that all changed on game day. Anderson played well all day in both run and pass blocking situations, and had a key block that allowed the East Team to score in the win.
