Hoop season is nearing post-season fun at the Creek and California, Stanford and Arizona State are in the Top 25 of the NCAA women's RPI.

Meanwhile, at NCAA HQ, Oregon's Galen Rupp was announced as the NCAA Scholar-Athlete Of The Year in Division I men's cross country.





Arizona State

In softball, senior catcher Renee Welty was named as the conference's player of the week.



California

In women's swimming, the Bears won the Pac-10 conference championship.



UCLA

In softball, sophomore pitcher Donna Kerr was named as the conference's pitcher of the week.



Arizona

In men's hoop, the Wildcats are under NCAA investigation for alleged recruiting violations..



WSU

In men's hoop, Wazzu swept Arizona and Arizona State to improve to 16-13 overall and 8-9 in conference play

In women's hoop, Wazzu defeated Arizona but lost to Arizona State to move to 4-13 in conference play and 11-17 overall on the year.

In baseball, Wazzu defeated Gonzaga and split with Oklahoma to improve to 3-5 overall on the year.

In swimming, Cougar swimmers set 26 new individual and team school records at the Pac-10 championships last week.

In tennis, the Cougars lost to Stanford and California to fall to 3-9 overall on the year.



USC

In women's swimming, Rebecca Soni set an American record in the 200 medley relay and an NCAA record in the 100 breaststroke at the Pac-10 championships last week.



Oregon State

In football, quarterback Lyle Moevao will miss spring practice as he undergoes shoulder surgery.



Stanford

In women's hoop, sophomore forward Kayla Pedersen was named as the conference's player of the week.



Washington

In men's hoop, senior forward Jon Brockman was named as the conference's player of the week.



Oregon

In baseball, the Ducks defeated Fresno State in their three-game series but lost to Washington in the first game of a two-game series to fall to 3-4 overall on the year.
