Who says football isn't a Northeast sport?

Sure, it's huge in Florida and California, the place to be on Friday nights in the South and, well, just about everything in Texas.

But there's some action in the Northeast, too, and not just at No. 1 Ramsey (N.UJ.) Don Bosco. Our Rivals and RivalsHigh anlaysts and publishers are at 13 games in the Northeast alone this weekend.

But don't take our word for it. Take a look at Where We'll Be in Week Nine:

Find your region: Atlantic East | Heartland | Lakes | South | West (based on where game is played)

Tampa (Fla.) Hillsborough at No. 4 Seffner (Fla.) Armwood
Rivals.com: Chris Nee, Florida Analyst (@RivalsCNee)
Thursday: The two Tampa-area schools meet with a guaranteed playoff berth on the line. Both schools have their fair share of Division I talent including the likes of Armwood four-star running back Matt Jones and four-star linebacker Eric Striker going against Hillsborough three-star defensive tackle Earl Moore and three-star cornerback Anthony Brown. Also a good amount of 2013 talent to watch including as Armwood junior wide receiver Alvin Bailey, Armwood safety Leon McQuay III, Hillsborough defensive end Jordan Sherit, and Hillsborough linebacker Nigel Harris.
No. 32 Lakeview (Wash.) Lakes at Auburn (Wash.) Mountainview
WashingtonPreps.com: Dirk Knudsen
Thursday: Zach Banner (All American), Zaheer Webb (Colorado), Manae Manae (Colorado), Cedric Dozier (Cal) and a host of other D-1 talent who play for No. 32 Lakes take on an upstart Auburn Mountainview team.
Nashville (Tenn.) Ensworth at No. 74 Brentwood (Tenn.) Brentwood Academy
RivalsHigh.com: Dallas Jackson, Senior Analyst (@RivalsHigh)
Friday: These are two of the top teams in the Division II bracket in Tennessee - and the schools are separated by a few miles. While it isn't the top rivalry game for either school, it is a budding rivalry as the two have been the favorites for the state title recently.
West Linn (Ore.) High at No. 75 Lake Oswego (Ore.) High
OregonPreps.com: Bobby Howard
Friday: It's a top-ten battle in Oregon as No. 1 Lake Oswego takes on No. 6 West Linn.

Delaware, Maryland, N. Carolina, New England, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, S. Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia
Sicklerville (N.J.) Timber Creek at Voorhees (N.J.) Eastern
Rivals.com: Mike Farrell, National Analyst (@rivalsmike )
Friday: Four-star linebacker Quanzell Lambert leads a Timber Creek defense that boasts three underclassmen on the defensive line led by defensive tackle Greg Webb while Eastern has the state's top 2013 cornerback in Eli Woodard and Joe Flacco's younger brother Tom Flacco under center on offense.
Hershey (Pa.) High at Harrisburg (Pa.) Bishop McDevitt
Rivals.com: Mike Farrell, National Analyst (@rivalsmike )
Saturday: Five-star defensive end Noah Spence leads a young McDevitt team that also boasts Maryland commitment Brock Dean and future star Andre Robinson, a 2015 running back worth watching. Hershey is led by Syracuse defensive tackle commitment Harold Brantley.
Raleigh (N.C.) Millbrook at Wake Forest (N.C.) Rolesville
Rivals.com: Keith Niebuhr, Southeast Analyst (@KeithRIVALS)
Friday: Millbrook tailback Keith Marshall is the nation's top-rated all-purpose back and No. 65 overall prospect. But some feel he should be rated higher. Thus far, the 5-foot-11, 190-pounder has rushed for 1,400 yards and 17 touchdowns in nine games. Marshall is an elusive player with excellent speed who particularly shines in space. Another player to watch is Millbrook receiver Corey Cooper, a junior who claims an N.C. State offer.
Lexington (N.C.) Central Davidson at Lexington (N.C.) High
DeaconsIllustrated.com: Ben Doster (@WakeRivals)
Friday: Checking out Lexington junior running back Marquez Grayson, a Wake Forest target.
Sandy Spring (Md.) Sherwood at Burtonsville (Md.) Paint Branch

Baltimore (Md.) Dunbar at Baltimore (Md.) Poly
MDHigh.com: Dave Lomonico
Friday: A talent-laden Dunbar team with four-star West Virginia commit Deontay McManus goes up against a Poly team with three-star Virginia Tech commit Donovan Riley in a battle for Baltimore City supremacy.
Boonsboro (Md.) High at Brunswick (Md.) High
MDHigh.com: Reggie Turner
Friday: A 7-0 Boonsboro team goes up against a high-powered Brunswick squad with 6-foot-6 QB Ian Fisher, one of the best in Maryland.
Tenafly (N.J.) High at Wayne (N.J.) DePaul
NJVarsity.com: John Otterstedt
Friday: After an opening weekend loss to Montvale (N.J.) St. Joe's, DePaul has reeled off five straight wins, including two shutouts. The Spartans averaged just over 40 points per game during that span. The team features several recruits, including Rutgers-bound defensive back Davon Jacobs. Sophomore Khaliem Hester is a receiver to watch for 2014.
Coraopolis (Pa.) Our Lady of Sacred Heart at Pittsburgh (Pa.) Avonworth
PaPreps.com: Andrew Chiappazzi (@achiappazzi)
Friday: A second-year program, OLSH is fighting for its first ever playoff berth. A win over Avonworth, a game ahead of them in the standings, would all but give them that chance. Junior running back Isiah Neely has 1,245 yards through seven games for OLSH.
Mechanicsburg (Pa.) Cumberland Valley at Lewisberry (Pa.) Red Land
PaPreps.com: Luke Campbell
Friday: Cumberland Valley is hoping to make another deep run in the state playoffs, and a win Friday night could be centered on the match-up between CV offensive lineman Kyle Friend (Temple) and Red Land DE Bret Niederreither (West Virginia).
Scranton (Pa.) Scranton Prep at Archbald (Pa.) Valley View
PaPreps.com: Mike Iorfino
Friday: Valley View allows an average of just 5 points per game on defense, highlighted by future Penn State three-star LB Nyeem Wartman. This is a chance to see if Valley View might challenge for a state title.
Chambersburg (Pa.) High at State College (Pa.) High
PaPreps.com: Tim Mack
Friday: Chambersburg is trying to set itself up for the District 3 playoffs, while State College is looking for another deep playoff run. Despite a .500 record a year ago, State College nearly upset eventual state champion North Allegheny in the state semifinals.
Shillington (Pa.) Governor Mifflin at Birdsboro (Pa.) Daniel Boone
PaPreps.com: Rebeka Rice
Friday: Two of District 3's finest duel in the first of three weeks of round-robin amongst the top teams in the Berks County League. Daniel Boone, Governor Mifflin, Exeter Township and Conrad Weiser are all only separated by one game. The district power ratings, used for the playoffs, have Boone No. 1 and Mifflin No. 3.

Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas
Lincoln (Neb.) Southeast at Grand Island (Neb.) High
HuskerlandPreps.com: Bob Jensen
Friday: Lincoln Southeast (7-1) comes to Grand Island (8-0) for a battle of Class A ranked teams. Grand Island is ranked No. 2 in the state and led by all-state candidate Ryker Fyfe at quarterback, but this will be the Islanders' stiffest test to date. Southeast has won six in a row and will feature future Husker Sam Cotton at tight end and defensive end.
Garland (Texas) High @ Garland (Texas) Lakeview Centennial
Rivals.com: Brian Perroni, Southwest Analyst (@bperroni)

Houston (Texas) Cy Falls @ Houston (Texas) Cy Ranch
Rivals.com: Brian Perroni, Southwest Analyst (@bperroni)
Saturday: Cy Falls has been a surprise team but will be tested against perhaps the state's top junior running back in Keith Ford.

Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Wisconsin
Maple Park (Ill.) Kaneland at Morris (Ill.) High
EdgyTim.com: Tim O'Halloran (@EDGYTIM)
Friday: Top game in state features two undefeated and ranked teams in Class 5A

Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee
Tampa (Fla.) Jesuit at St. Petersburg (Fla.) Lakewood
Rivals.com: Chris Nee, Florida Analyst (@RivalsCNee)
Friday: One of the Sunshine State's top ranked prospects, five-star defensive end Dante Fowler Jr. is the headliner but the game has others to keep an eye. Jesuit has four seniors looking to continue at the next level in quarterback Tommy Eveld, wide receiver Bryce Walker, offensive center Robert Gibbons, and defensive tackle Isaac Edwards. Junior talent will also be on display in the form of Lakewood wide receiver Rodney Adams and Jesuit two-way player Travis Johnson.

Friday: More than 12,500 are expected for one of the state's largest rivalry games.
Granite Bay (Calif.) High at Loomis (Calif.) Del Oro
NorCalPreps.com: Douglas Benton
Friday: The NorCalPreps.com Game of the Week features two of the best programs annually in the region. Granite Bay is 6-1 as the offense has played well throughout behind three year starting quarterback Brendan Keeney and the defense continues to take shape with each week. Del Oro survived Nevada Union last week 35-31 to move to 6-1 as quarterback Bobby Heatherington showed excellent poise throughout. However, it starts for the Golden Eagles on the ground with Nick O'Sullivan and Brandon Monroe running behind a physical offensive line. The atmosphere in Loomis expects to be excellent for this SFL showdown.
La Crescenta (Calif) Crescenta Valley vs. Burbank (Calif) Burroughs
CaliforniaPreps.com: Dave Rogahn, Dave Keefer
Thursday: Burroughs (3-3) is led by rushing star Zander Anding who has had over 300 yards rushing in all three Pacific League wins this year. He broke a school record last game with 397 yards rushing and 7 touchdowns. Crescenta Valley (4-2) must find a way to slow him down.
Saugus (Calif) vs. Newhall (Calif) Hart
CaliforniaPreps.com: Dave Rogahn, Dave Keefer
Friday: Saugus (3-3) already has lost to one of the Foothill League favorites (Canyon) and can't afford another league loss to Hart (5-1), who is off to its best start in years.
