- Pac-10 commissioner Larry Scott answering whether or not the Pac-10 will pursue any further conference expansion after adding the University of Colorado and the University of Utah in the last two weeks.



The Creek got a bit larger last week as the University of Utah officially became the 12th conference member.

Meanwhile, the Pac-10 announced the conference's 10 scholar-athletes of the year.

Meanwhile, at NCAA HQ, the NCAA changed the women's soccer championship tournament format allowing first round matches to be played at 32 on-campus sites before advancing to 16 on-campus sites for second round matches.





Stanford

In gymnastics, Australian Shona Morgan has joined the Stanford program.



UCLA

In baseball, the Bruins defeated TCU to advance to the semifinal round at the College World Series.



California

In men's golf, Eric Mina was named as an honorable mention All-American.



Arizona

In football, senior receiver Delashaun Dean, was arrested on a weapons charge last week.



Oregon

In football, receivers Tyrece Gaines and Diante Jackson were declared academically ineligible for the 2010 season.



Arizona State

In baseball, the Sun Devils were upset by South Carolina and eliminated from the College World Series.



WSU

In rowing, head coach Jane LaRiviere was named as a CougZone Coach of the Year finalist.

In soccer, Kiersten Dallstream was named as a CougZone Athlete of the Year finalist.

In football, Wazzu received a verbal commitment from defensive back Spencer Waseem.

In volleyball, head coach Andrew Palileo was named as a CougZone Coach of the Year finalist.



Washington

In football, defensive lineman Darius Waters was ruled academically ineligible.



Oregon State

In volleyball, the team led all spring sports at Oregon State in GPA.



USC

In football, the NCAA will allow USC to play Hawai'i in September.
