Bulldogs undergo hard, loud practice

Dan Mullen was one of the final people off the practice fields on Tuesday afternoon but left pleased with the effort his team gave.

Mississippi State continued their preparations for their Southeastern Conference opener with Auburn on the road this weekend with a full pad practice.

"It was a nice warm day out here and we got a lot of work in," Mullen said. "We've got a lot to clean up obviously tomorrow but it was a good hard day today."

The Bulldogs appeared to be spent for the most part leaving the practice fields on Tuesday, a sign of a hard practice according to their first year head coach.

"We just give a hard look on Tuesdays and give everybody the toughest deals," Mullen said. "We try to put them in the toughest situations that they can face. Our guys fought pretty hard at practice."

The players could have also been suffering from a headache as well. Mullen had crowd noise and the Auburn fight sound blaring through speakers at practice that could be heard throughout campus in preparation of their first road game of the year.
