MSU after another Sandy Creek back
Mississippi State picked up a commitment over the weekend from three-star Sandy Creek (Ga.) running back Rajion Neal.
But in front of every good running back is a fullback paving the way to the end zone. Neal's bulldozer up front, Michael Spaulding, is also being recruited by the Bulldogs.
"Rajion I have been running together since we were three or four years old," Spaulding said. "We've been on each other's teams and he's like my little brother. Me and Rajion playing together at the next level would be a dream come true. We both want to go to the same college and play together. Both of our families are extremely close and they want us to do the same. Me and him being on the same team in college would be something else."
Spaulding has heard good things about the MSU program from Neal and former offensive guard Michael Gates, who lettered for the Bulldogs from 2005-08.
"Mike Gates just graduated from Mississippi State and he lives across the street from me," Spaulding said. "Both of them have said that Mississippi State is extremely nice. They said the program and work ethic down there is top notch."
Spaulding also got an opportunity to meet one of the MSU coaches back during the spring when offensive line coach John Hevesy dropped by Sandy Creek High School for practice.
