Top DB target talks recruiting
Whether you're talking about Duke or any other school, having success with in-state prospects is a big deal. Successfully recruiting prospects from your own city is even more important.
Take, for instance, the football program at the University of Cincinnati. The Bearcats are coming off a Big East championship season and an appearance in the Orange Bowl. That happened for a variety of reasons, not the least of which was UC's ability to keep some of their own city's top prospects in town.
While Durham may not produce quite the same amount of talent on a yearly basis as Cincinnati, the idea is the same. Last year Duke managed to pull in four-star running back Desmond Scott and three-star athlete Corey Gattis from Durham.
