PA prospect receives offer and hopes for more
Monroeville (PA) Gateway all-purpose running back Brendon Felder has seen a few of his former high school teammates go on to play for BCS programs and now it is his turn. Felder has a double digit offer list and more offers should be on the way. One of his most recent offers came from a Big East program.
"Syracuse I would say offered me about two weeks back."
Felder, 5-foot-11, 163 pounds knows that the Orange have been down for a few years, but he was still excited to get the offer.
"I thought it was great, Syracuse is a great program. It definitely felt great when they offered me. They think that I could be a great asset to their program. It was a good offer for me."
Now with the offer in hand from Syracuse has the three star prospects state of mind changed about the school?
"It definitely went up. Now that I got the offer Syracuse will be on my mind more and more. It is just a great program. They are coming up as a football program for years and years to come. I am definitely thinking high of Syracuse."
The Keystone State prospect went a little more in depth talking about his interest in the Orange.
"I would definitely say my interest in Syracuse is high. I felt that growing up I have always watched Syracuse on TV and they have a good background. I think once I go up there and take a look at everything that I will probably like it as much as I think I would like it. "
Despite being interested in the Orange the versatile prospect has not set up a visit yet.
"I am really not sure. I was thinking sometime in June, this month actually. I know some players from my school are going down there for camp. I might head down with them and check it out a little bit."
Besides Syracuse Felder holds offers from the likes of Boston College, Connecticut, Illinois, and Pittsburgh. A few other schools are paying close attention to him.
"I have Michigan, Rutgers, West Virginia, Maryland, and South Florida looking at me as well."
Could one of those schools be the next to offer?
"Oh yeah definitely. I know Maryland wants to see me at their camp. We are going to West Virginia's 7-on-7 and they want to see me down there. I talked with coaches from Michigan, and Rutgers. They said that they are going to have to have their staff watch my film, but I feel most of them are close to offering."
A quick decision is not expected from Felder, but he also does not plan on waiting until signing day either.
"I would think that I would like to make my decision during the season or before sometime."
