O'Dowd psyched to be back on the field

The USC offensive line looked awfully familiar this past spring.

Jeff Byers was a workhorse, doing whatever he could to help. Charles Brown was one of the bookends. Butch Lewis was working hard and cracking jokes. Tyron Smith continued to impress with his physical play.

And offensive line coach Pat Ruel watched every second, with the same sunglasses and mustache that have become near iconic on the practice field.

But one thing was missing, and it was a pretty big piece.
