MORGANTOWN--Pat Lazear had what may have been his best practice in a Blue jersey on Wednesday as West Virginia wrapped up Week 2 of spring ball with a lengthy scrimmage before Big East officials.

Lazear, firmly entrenched at strongside linebacker, knifed through the West Virginia offensive line and made four tackles for loss. Two of them came at the expense of tailback Noel Devine.

Lazear, a high-school running back and former 4-star recruit out of Montgomery County, Md., pulled down No. 7 from behind twice and pulled down running back Ryan Clarke--again from behind.
