New offers arrive for Rivals100 OL

Nashville (Tenn.) Maplewood is the home to one of the nation's top offensive line prospects in James Stone. The 6-foot-5, 297-pound prospect has picked up offers from around the country and recently added two more schools to his list when Texas Tech and Virginia expressed interest.

With the Texas Tech offer, Stone would have a chance to join his friend and teammate Romario Cathey, a Red Raider signee in the 2009 class.

"I'm interested in them because I've seen them play and I like how they play," Stone said. "Then Romario is over there so I know someone over there and that's good."

Though the offer brings some factors that has Stone interested, he isn't quite ready to place the Red Raiders near the top of his list just yet.

"I'm kind of considering them," He said. "I wouldn't put it in my top really because I just got the offer so I gotta look at it a little bit more."

Stone also is keeping an eye on Virginia, in large part due to the Cavaliers' history with offensive linemen.

"I'm interested because they put out good linemen," he said. "Lately they had D'Brickshaw Ferguson and they just had Eugene Monroe."

Throughout the rest of the spring, Stone has plans to continue to train and to possibly attend a few college campuses.

"I'm going to the O-lineman one-day camps," he said. "I don't know which ones exactly yet but I'm planning on going to a couple new ones. We have a strength and conditioning program so we're just lifting weight and running right now."
