Dawson picks up two new offers
Recently named as one of the top 250 players in the nation, Cedar Rapids running back Andre Dawson continues to be a highly sought after prospect. This past week, the 6-foot-1, 210-pound Dawson picked up two new scholarship offers from Cincinnati and Purdue.
Those two programs join Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Kansas on his current list of offers. The four-star prospect, who has been to Iowa and Kansas in recent months, is also hearing from a number of others as he looks to get out and make some more visits this spring.
"I'm looking at going to UCLA and maybe Alabama and Florida State," Dawson said. "I'm also probably going to go to Nebraska's spring game. Then I've been receiving a lot of mail from Auburn and North Carolina too."
All of the interest in Dawson is a result of back to back 1,000 yard seasons at Cedar Rapids Washington, including nearly 1,500 yards and 27 touchdowns his junior year. As more schools continue to enter the picture, the Cedar Rapids native it taking it all in stride. Currently, he plans to wait and make his college decision close to signing day.
