Sharpstown speedster high on A&M

Houston Sharpstown has seen a reemergence as of late under the direction of head coach Gary Gutierrez. The Apollos feature some top juniors, including one of the state's most exciting passers in Sam Carter. Joined by him are wide receiver William Peck and Oklahoma State linebacker commit Stephen Maeweather.

However, they also feature another junior that has gone somewhat under-the-radar to recruiting fans. Athlete LeKendrick Williams players cornerback, but has made his name as one of the most dynamic return men in the state. Out of only 18 touches on kickoff or punt returns this past season, the 5-foot-9, 175-pound Williams took 11 of them back for touchdowns. It has led to interest from colleges across the country.
