Ducks land 2010 commit
The Oregon Ducks have received another verbal commitment, but this one is for the Class of 2010. With Sheldon TE Curtis White already in the fold, the Ducks added another player to next year's recruiting class, this one from clear across the country.
Duck Sports Authority has confirmed through his family that running back Ethan Grant from North Broward high school in Coconut Creek, Florida has given his verbal commitment for the Duck class of 2010 following his visit this weekend to Eugene.
Grant is a 5'10" speed merchant with explosiveness through the line of scrimmage and great vision. He was the Florida state champion in the 300 intermediate hurdles as a junior with a time of 36.74, and a best recorded 40-time of 4.19. While 40 times such as those are generally non-believable, after watching film of Grant, the possibility the mark was near legitimate seems much more reasonable.
The 2010 Rivals250 Watch List member was also being recruited by Florida State, Boston College, UCLA, and UCF, and Virginia and had previously attended the Florida State camp.
Recruited by Chip Kelly, Grant plans to study Criminology while at the University of Oregon, and possesses a 3.0 GPA and has already taken and received passing scores on his SAT.
Duck Sports Authority will catch up with Ethan Grant for an interview to get his side of the tale and comments on the trip early this week.
