Cowboys Evaluating Texas Quarterback
Dave Christensen's UW Staff is going to take a closer look at Plano, Texas Product Carson Meger, a 5-11, 185 pound quarterback. Meger has received interest from Kansas, Tulsa, UTEP, Northwest Missouri, Southern Arkansas, and Emporia State, though his impressive numbers could make him a good fit for Christensen's spead offense at Wyoming.
Meger threw for nearly a combined 6500 yeards and 50 touchdowns during his senior and junior seasons, while completing around 65% of his passes in a strong 5A league in Texas. He was also named honorable mentioned all-state quarterback in his division.
Meger says the new Wyoming staff has been in contact with him.
"Wyoming is the biggest school that's been in contact with me," Meger said. "They are in the process of getting situated but will be back in touch in the next week or so."
Meger possesses some of the attributes which would make him effective in the open field offense with good running ability, accurate arm strength, and intelligence.
GoWyoGo will keep updated on the recruitment of Meger by the Cowboys.
