Last Waltz: Fans to honor legend with 'White Out'

MORGANTOWN--With a spectator "white out" planned in his honor, West Virginia University quarterback Pat White will take the field at Milan Puskar Stadium one final time against South Florida on Saturday night. According to WVU director of sports marketing Matt Wells, the homage is a chance for Mountaineer fans to bid farewell to a legend.

"We're encouraging all fans to wear a white shirt or jacket to the game," Wells said before acknowledging that the latter item is a rarity in most fans' wardrobes. "If you can't find a white shirt or jacket, bring a white towel and wave it around to show Pat and the other seniors how much we appreciate what they have done."

The potential effect of the tribute could be spine-chilling.
