Florida ATH sets two trips

Fort Myers (Fla.) South Fort Myers athlete Brodrick Jenkins has taken two trips in recent weeks and has now set up two more for the near future. The 5-foot-10, 177-pound prospect from the Sunshine State is still looking at Boston College, but are the Eagles still interested?

On the season South Fort Myers has posted a 6-2 record and has two regular season games remaining. Unfortunately, that wasn't enough to secure a spot in the state playoffs, so Jenkins knows his high school football career is almost over.

"I've been playing good," Jenkins explained. "Teams have been keying in on me so I haven't been able to produce like I did last year. I feel like I've improved a lot at defensive back. The first two games I had like four interceptions, then they stopped throwing it to my side. It seems like I've done what I've needed to do."

The three-star prospect has received offers from the likes of BC, Indiana, Iowa, Iowa State, Louisville, NC State, Syracuse, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

Jenkins has taken two visits thus far, one of which was an official visit.

"I've been to Wisconsin and I've visited USF," he said. "Only the Wisconsin trip was an official visit. They both went alright, I'd say.

"I know I'm going to Louisville on (November) 21 and West Virginia on December 13. I'm still trying to decide what all I'm going to do."

Is Boston College still in the hunt?

"Boston College is still sending me letters," he said. "I would be interested in them more but they've never really talked to me. I'd like to hear from them and I'd consider them if they showed me more interest."

Jenkins is ranked the No. 97 athlete in the nation by Rivals.com.
