ATH Jenkins has interest in BC

With more than ten offers on the table Fort Myers (Fla.) South Fort Myers athlete Brodrick Jenkins has no shortage of options. The 5-foot-10, 177-pound athlete is an impressive talent and is taking his time in sorting things out.

Jenkins holds offers from schools like Boston College, Indiana, Iowa, Iowa State, Louisville, NC State, Syracuse, West Virginia and Wisconsin. In all he said he has received 12 scholarships.

"We're 4-1 on the season," Jenkins said of his South Fort Myers squad. "We won on Friday 41-7. I've been doing good. I play on both sides of the ball. Basically, we have an offense that let's me do a little bit of everything. I'll throw it, run it and play wide receiver and tight end."

Boston College is a school Jenkins is highly interested in. Unfortunately he has been unable to get in touch with the Eagles' staff recently.

"I'm basically talking to the same schools," he said. "With Boston College, I've been in trying to get in touch with Coach (Ryan) Day but I haven't been able to get with him. I like them because they're a program on the rise and because of the academics, so they're definitely still up there.

"This Friday I'm going on an official visit to Wisconsin. I don't know what else I'm doing for sure after that but I have an idea. I think I'm taking officials to West Virginia, Indiana and Louisville. Those are the schools that have been showing the most interest so far."

Jenkins said he plans on waiting until after his senior season to make his decision.
