O'Neill blown away by AU visit
Ft. Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas linebacker Conor O'Neill got his first look at Auburn this summer when he attended a camp.
But that was nothing compared to what O'Neill saw this weekend as he officially visited AU and got a first-hand look at the Tigers in action at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
"It was awesome," O'Neill said. "I loved every minute of it. I really couldn't ask for more. It was a big-time game and a big-time atmosphere. It was incredible.
"I thought Clemson was special, but definitely here, it was a special place too. It was wonderful. College Gameday was here, 85,000 people screaming, the Tiger Walk -- it was unbelievable."
While LSU rallied for a 26-21 win Saturday night, O'Neill said he was very impressed with the atmosphere at Jordan-Hare Stadium and the play of AU's defense.
