Hands down, Long is D.C.'s best receiver

WASHINGTON, D.C.--Yes, his name is Deon . . . and he likes Neon." From his bronze curls to his dancing toes, you might consider him a rendition of "Neon" Deion Sanders.

But it's the hands, that's what separates West Virginia committed wide receiver Deon Long. And that's good news for a Mountaineer program that always welcomes his kind of pass catcher.

"When he was a freshman, I kept thinking of every reason I could to send him down to the jayvee team," said Dunbar High School coach Craig Jeffries on Monday, "but he wouldn't let me. He caught everything that was thrown at him."
