Tough football weekend for Scales

Killeen offensive lineman Rhontae Scales suffered a fate this past weekend that many fans who follow multiple teams across the spectrum of high school and college football can relate to.

First off, his high school team lost 27-7 Thursday night in their season opener against Killeen Ellison. Then, the 6-foot-6, 299-pound Texas A&M commit and his family drove to Kyle Field on Saturday only to see the Aggies fall 18-14 in an upset loss to Arkansas State.

"Both my teams lost," said Scales, who sounded like more of a fan than a player. "I didn't know what was going on. We should have beaten those teams."
