Cornerback situation, Finch's role remain unsolved

Indiana received some huge news this summer when the transfer of former Warren Central standout Jerimy Finch was officially announced. The excitement grew to a fever pitch when the NCAA decided to grant Finch an exception and allow him to play in his first season at IU.

Now, the Hoosiers have to decide how they want to use him. Finch arrived at Florida and was almost immediately converted to linebacker. He played well enough in camp to earn himself a role within the defense. But, as a former top-ranked prep safety, Finch figures to play safety and has said his natural place is in the defensive backfield.
