Steward ready for new role

If A.J. Steward looks comfortable changing positions from quarterback to tight end, it might be because he has already done it once before in his football career. During Steward's sophomore year in high school at Riverview Gardens in St. Louis, an older more experienced quarterback was on the field, while Steward was left to sit on the bench. Riverview Gardens coach John Atwell knew he couldn't leave Steward, who was already one of the school's top athletes as a sophomore, on the sideline. Atwall decided the best way for Steward to see the field was at tight end. Sound familiar.

Steward wasted no time at all showing he belonged in the games, making acrobatic grabs in the end zone, and showing a special level of athleticism that few in the area could match.
