Neuheisel reviews practice

One thing is very apparent after two days of practice. The Bruins have a boatload of talented freshmen. The future looks very bright indeed for UCLA. One thing that is very noticeable is the veteran players are trying to help the youngsters out so the team chemistry is in good shape. As always UCLA coach Rick Neuheisel met with the media and reviewed practice.

Neuheisel: "It was another interesting day. We put in going on two in the snap count, which probably cost us a lot of reps today because we just couldn't handle it. We jumped off-sides way too many times, but you have to crawl before you walk and obviously we need a great amount of snap counts to be functional on offense so we just have to force the hand so we are going to have to work with that and we will start figuring out reminders when it continues to happen, but overall I saw lots of good things.

"Again I'm really impressed with this freshmen class. There's lots of very talented in the class. Nelson Rosario showed up big today. He (Rosario) had a good day. Antwon Moutra is still having a good camp thus far. I'm really excited about all of them, frankly."

"We (coaching staff) are going to convene tonight to decide whether we are going to be able to continue to do this (splitting the practice into twos) another day just because we were a little thin in the secondary so we may end up going to one practice tomorrow. If that happens we will still start practice at 3:00, but it will be everybody."

"I'm pleased. I wished it were cleaner. I wish we would like the Baltimore Ravens did when I was there, but we're a work in progress and I think the coaching staff as done a nice job keeping their composure and that we are going to get there."
