Cotton talks in-depth about his decision
Ever since he received a scholarship offer from Iowa last fall, Jordan Cotton has had the Hawkeyes at the top of his list. On Wednesday, the 6-foot-1, 170-pound Mount Pleasant native decided to end his recruiting and commit to his dream school. Cotton, whose father played for the Hawkeyes in the mid 80's, talks in-depth about his decision and much more.
Q: When did you come to your decision?
COTTON: I started really thinking about it when I was in Kansas comparing it to Iowa City and stuff. Then when I was at basketball camp, I thought about it some more and once I got home last Thursday, I talked to my parents about it and just felt good with Iowa.
Q: What were some of the reasons for that?
COTTON: The main reason was just the relationship that I have with the coaching staff at Iowa. They did a really good job of recruiting me and I built a really good relationship with them. Getting to know Coach Campbell was big because I was working with Coach Erb the last two years and I didn't know how it would be having a new wide receiver coach, but I built a great relationship with Coach Campbell.
