Former Georgia Bulldog George Brewer now coaches at Troup County High School in Lagrange (Ga.). Four-star offensive lineman Chris Burnette is committed to Coach Brewer's alma mater and there is no doubt Coach Brewer still bleeds red and black.

"First of all, Chris is an outstanding student," said Brewer. "He is an outstanding athlete and Georgia is getting a true division one offensive lineman."

Coach Brewer is the defensive coordinator at Troup County and he could not hide the smiles and joy when Burnette became a Dawg.

"Well, anytime I can get a kid that I am coaching, plus at the high school that I played at to go to my alma mater, it makes a big difference."

"I mean, I am tickled to death about what he is doing and where he is going. He stated before he met me that he wanted to be a Georgia Bulldog. I can share that with him because when I was a young man, I used to draw that Bulldog head all the time, so I do understand."

Even though big Brewer coaches the DL and the 6-foot-3, 285-pound future Bulldog plays on the OL, he knows Burnette as well as anyone. He talks about the UGA commitment more as a person off the field.

"Off of the football field, Chris is a devotional leader, he is a kid that believes strongly in God, and his belief in genuine," said the man that played in Athens in 1989, 1990, and 1991.
