Lindsay one of the top OL names in 2010

As some of the names from the Class of 2010 in the Lone Star State start to become household names to fans of college football recruiting, it's not a huge surprise that a lot of the offensive linemen in the state are flying under the radar. From a physical development standpoint, so much occurs after the sophomore season that a quite a few of the best players won't pop on the recruiting radar for a while.

However, one lineman that has been able to catch some early attention is The Woodlands High's Chad Lindsay, who debuted at No.25 in the initial Lone Star Recruiting rankings for the 2010 class.

"It's been a fun so far," Lindsay said of the early recruiting process. "It's something that I've always wanted to do. It's pretty cool that a reporter from a website is talking to me about football."

The 6-4, 300-pound Lindsay was a visitor to the Texas spring game and he reports that he enjoyed his first unofficial visit to the 40 Acres.

"It was fun. I got to meet some players and pretty much the whole staff," Lindsay said. "It was fun to see the competition in person from the 2010 class and some of the players from 2009."

When asked about the best part of his trip, Lindsay gave glowing remarks to the Texas coaching staff.

"Probably talking to Coach (Mack) Brown was the best part," Lindsay said. "I also talked with Coach (Mac) McWhorter for a while."

As far as the recruiting process is concerned, Lindsay doesn't appear to be locked into any set idea or plan for the immediate future.

"I just want to see how the process goes," Lindsay said. "Texas is the only school that I've seen this spring and it was the only spring game that I saw. I'm completely wide-open right now."

Lindsay added that academics would play a big part in his eventual decision and that he currently has set up one summer camp trip to Texas in June.
