Emilien's national recruitment continues
The national recruitment of Vladimir Emilien is continuing. Shortly after the Lauderhill (Fla.) Plantation safety picked up an offer from the University of Michigan, Emilien named Ohio State and Michigan as his top two schools. However just days later, more national offers continue to pour in with Colorado, Boston College, FIU and Stanford as the latest.
"I like the education a lot," Emilien said of the new offers. "The education stands out to me with Boston College and Stanford. The coaches were telling me that even if you don't do football, you'll be guaranteed six figures out of college."
The national attention from so many programs has Emilien feeling flattered and fortunate.
"That really did strike me hard yesterday," he said. "Everybody's hollering at me real hard so I'm just being thankful for what I have. Bascically I just told all the scouts that I'm very open right now and going to look at as many colleges as I can over the summer and basically narrow things down to a top five when the season starts."
The first school on his agenda for a visit will be one of his top two: Michigan. After already visiting Columbus, Ohio for the Buckeye Spring Game, Emilien hopes to compare the two as soon as possible.
"I still gotta go visit Michigan," he said. "I'm going the first or second week of the summer."
Despite a slightly sprained knee, Emilien's Spring practice is going well. He hopes to be healthy and ready to go for his May 22nd Spring Game against Dr. Krop.
"I'm very looking forward to that game because a lot of scouts are gonna be there to watch me play so basically I need to ball."
