UGA visits number six player in the nation

The spring evaluation period is in full swing and coaches are checking in on all the nation's best. Georgia sent a couple of coaches out of state recently to visit a five-star receiver Rueben Randle.

"Coach [Stacy] Searels and Coach [Mike] Bobo came out here last Tuesday," said Bastrop Head Coach Brad Bradshaw.

"Stacy has known about Rueben since he was a young kid because he used to coach at LSU. Rueben has been to camp at LSU and all that, so he and Stacy Searels know each other well."

"They can't really do much recruiting right now, but they showed their face, dropped out some camp information, and I talked to them a little bit. They hung around to watch some of our practice too."

Now that Georgia has visited Randle, could he return the favor and visit Athens?

"Definitely, we are going to get out to Georgia. We were supposed to have been there twice for visits already, but it did not work out. One time Rueben was sick and the other time he had prom. He does plan to get out there though."

The 6-foot-3, 195-pound athlete out of Bastrop (La.) has too many offers to count and he is sought after by most premier programs from coast to coast.

He is currently rated as the number one receiver in the country on, but that is not the position he will be playing in 2008 for Coach Bradshaw.
