Linebacker Liked Knoxville Visit

Even as Tennessee has gone through spring practice over the last few weeks the coaching staff has kept one eye focused on the recruiting front. A steady stream of junior prospects has trickled onto campus over the last month, something the staff hopes bodes well for the '09 class. One of the recent visitors to Knoxville was Stone Mountain, Ga. linebacker Nigel Mitchell-Thornton.

Mitchell-Thornton (6-foot-2, 210 pounds, 4.9 40-yard dash) made his way to Tennessee last Thursday on an unofficial visit to get a peek at one of the schools he says he has a lot of early interest in.
