UGA’s looking back into Byrnes

One of the top high school programs around is Byrnes out of South Carolina and they have produced many top collegiate prospects in recent years. Wide receiver Ricco Sanders could be their top prospect in 2009 and he has some impressive offers already.

"Georgia is one of my offers and Clemson, Florida, and Florida State are the others," said Sanders. "I think some other schools are close to offering me, but I am not sure who will be next."

The Clemson Tigers were the first to offer Sanders and he has already visited Death Valley.

"They offered me late in 2007 and I visited there about a month ago or something like that. It was a great visit and everything was nice. I got to spend some time with the coaches, see what they had to offer, and I liked it a lot."

His next visit will go to the second school that offered him.

"I am going down to Georgia on March 22 for their Junior Day," he said. "I have never been to Georgia before, so I am looking forward to it. I have seen them on T.V. and their coaches came by my school in January, but I don't know much about them yet."

Former Byrnes star Prince Miller is now in Athens playing between the hedges, so has he told the 5-foot-11, 180-pound speedster anything about UGA?

"Not really, I have not really talked to him about Georgia yet. I will probably talk to him while I am down there visiting and ask him some questions."
