Cotton visits Iowa City

With a busy high school basketball schedule that has kept him from making it to Iowa's first two junior days, Jordan Cotton took advantage of a night off on Thursday and made a visit to Iowa City.

As a junior, the 6-foot-1, 170-pound Cotton rushed for 1,449 yards and 17 touchdowns as a running back for Mount Pleasant, but likely projects at wide receiver in college. During his time in Iowa City, the junior had a chance to meet with head coach Kirk Ferentz and new wide receivers coach Erik Campbell.

Cotton, whose father played at Iowa, continues to hear from several programs in addition to the Hawkeyes, including a new scholarship offer from Kansas this week. He is also receiving contact from Michigan State, Wisconsin, and Purdue, among others.
