Daniels speaks with Cutcliffe

Future Blue Devil defensive back Matt Daniels has been one of Duke's biggest proponents since announcing his decision to commit on April 3. Throughout this time, several strong football programs, including his home-state Georgia Bulldogs, have solicited the three-star safety. Through it all, Daniels hasn't wavered one bit in his commitment to Duke.

On Sunday evening, Daniels received a phone call from his new head coach, David Cutcliffe, and concluded the conversation with a sense of enthusiasm he couldn't have begun to imagine.

"Oh man, he's a great guy," Daniels said, just minutes after his conversation with the Blue Devils new leader. "I'm ready to go out and put on the pads and get on the field right now. We didn't talk long, but I am really excited to play for him. "
