Rebound for roses

On Oct. 27, a beleaguered USC team dressed in a hurry. The Trojans had suffered their second loss far too early in the season for a team with national-title hopes, and they did not stick around long to answer questions.

"After we lost to Oregon, we knew had to win out for us to even get to a BCS game, or even to a good bowl game," defensive end Kyle Moore said. "Nobody wanted to go to the Sun Bowl."

Saturday, the Trojans concluded the regular season with a 24-7 defeat of UCLA, extending their winning streak to four games. The victory clinched a share of a record sixth-straight Pac-10 title and sends USC to the Rose Bowl for the fourth time in five years.
