Future teammates to be enemies Friday
Fayetteville's Brandon Boykin and Nick Williams out Bainbridge have grown close over the past few months as they plan to room together at the University of Georgia. Their friendship will have to be put on hold Friday night as they go into battle in the second round of the playoffs.
Fayette County is now 11-0 and they hope to stay perfect this Friday night. Bainbridge is traveling north for the second round playoff game and they hope to spoil the Tigers perfect season.
The game looks attractive enough as it is, but it is even more attractive when you look at the leaders of each team and find out that they are good friends, they plan to play defense together at UGA in the future and they could possibly be roommates in Athens.
Boykin and Williams both play quarterback on offense and Boykin plays corner while Williams plays linebacker on the other side of the ball. Both 4-star Rivals250 members play big roles for their current team and both are ready to match up head to head.
"I can't wait for this game," said Williams. "I have been watching film on them, they are a very good team and I am excited to get up there and go against Brandon."
Boykin feels the same as he prepares for the Bearcats.
"We watched film on them on Sunday and they spread it out a lot, so we will be prepared. Nick is a good athlete and he does a lot for their team, so I am ready for the challenge and ready to compete against him."
