The two Palmetto State arch rivals might not fight over a 2008 prospect this year more than Kenneth Page. The 6-foot-4, 293-pound four-star recruit got to see both sides of the Clemson and South Carolina programs last Saturday.
First the lineman took in the Tigers' 44-10 blowout win over Wake Forest, the defending ACC champions. Then he attended Florida's 51-31 victory over the Gamecocks in Columbia.
"I had planned to see Clemson, but looked at the schedule and found out I could definitely make both games," Page told Tigerillustrated.com Sunday evening. "So I said why not."
Clemson was stop number one.
"I got there in the morning and (offensive line) coach (Brad) Scott and I chatted for a few minutes," he recollected. "I was really impressed with their rout of Wake Forest. Winning by 34 says a lot. My teammate, Larry Patterson, came up on an unofficial, too. The kickoff return by C.J. Spiller was amazing."
