2009 standout Clarke impressed with UNC

Frederick (MD) Tuscarora junior defensive back Dominic Clarke was one of the visitors at Kenan Stadium on Saturday, where he watched the Tar Heels knock off Maryland. The 5-9, 165-pounder, who projects as one of the top juniors in the Old Line State, was impressed with the atmosphere of the game, and the way the UNC fans stuck with their team all the way to victory.

"It was really nice. The fans definitely came out in full force and supported them, everywhere you looked," said Clarke. "The fans, they were in the game the whole time. It was really interesting. Immediately after the Tar Heels got their 16-13 victory, Clarke met with his recruiter, linebackers coach Tommy Thigpen, in a jubilant post-game locker room setting.
