Hurtt: Recruiting not hurt by struggles

DL coach Clint Hurtt will be working with very little depth at defensive tackle the rest of the season.

With Antonio Dixon and Dwayne Hendricks out, the Canes are expected to start Teraz McCray and Joe Joseph against FSU. It will be Joseph's first-ever start.

Behind them is converted end Vegas Franklin and inexperienced Luqman Abdallah. Coach Randy Shannon said Wednesday that Josh Holmes has a "20 percent" chance of playing in the game due to injury.

Hurtt says he only wants to work Abdallah into certain situations.
