Texas junior talks Trojans
The Trojans have gotten a jump on next year's recruiting crop with commitments from four of Southern California' best junior prospects.
While USC continues to collect commitments locally, the recruitment of junior prospects outside the region also increases. Jamarkus McFarland of Lufkin (Texas) will be one prospect with plenty of options.
Considered by many to be one of Texas' top junior prospects for 2009, the 6-foot-3, 290-pound defensive end had 73 tackles as a sophomore all-district selection.
With written scholarship offers from Oklahoma State, Texas A&M and Nebraska in hand, McFarland remains humble about his accolades.
