I was wrong, Las Vegas was wrong and everyone seemed to be wrong. That is, except Jim Harbaugh, his staff and team.
When every reason in the world pointed to USC beating Stanford by 40 on Saturday night, instead, the Cardinal did the unthinkable, knocked off the No. 1 Trojans and pulled off one of the biggest upsets in college football history.
Does this mean that Stanford has arrived? Well, the Cardinal might not be a national football team right now, but what we know for sure is that the team is going to compete under Harbaugh and not be afraid of anyone.
Under Walt Harris, this team loses by 40-50. It's unbelievable how quickly Harbaugh changed his players' attitudes.
While Harbaugh did an incredible job defeating what he once called one of the best teams in college football history, you have to love the job that Tavita Pritchard did as quarterback.
