40 Acres Report: Will Colt play?

There's nothing like a good rumor mill to get the Texas-OU weekend kicked off just right.

A few years ago there were reports of an injury to Vince Young the day before the 2005 game. Last year there were reports of a sudden practice injury to Colt McCoy in the days leading up to the game.

As the final days of the pre-week festivities conclude, it would appear that this year's top rumors deals with McCoy's "concussion-like" symptoms during the Kansas State game and whether or not he'll be able to play Saturday against the Sooners.

In talking with the media on Wednesday, Texas head coach Mack Brown reiterated that the Longhorns plan on having their full assortment of players at the quarterback position this weekend.

"John Chiles is taking 50 percent of the reps right now. Colt (McCoy) gets all the (reps) with the first-team and John gets all the (reps) with the second-team, and then there is a package where Colt and John go in together," Brown said.

When asked if it had been decided with certainty that McCoy would start this weekend against the Sooners, Brown gave a simple, but definite answer.
