High energy has Shannon in demand

To get noticed in the state of Georgia right now a prospect really has to stand out. One player who does that with his high energy play is Terrance Shannon. The power forward from Forsyth was a major contributor for the Atlanta Celtics 16 and under team, and that summer play has him attracting major attention.

The words tradition and AAU basketball aren't often used together, but one program that does have a tradition in the frontcourt is the Atlanta Celtics. The Celtics have featured some one the best frontcourts in the history of summer hoops.

At 6-foot-7 and 190 pounds, Shannon might not possess the typical power forward body, but he does get the job done down low.

Georgia is recruiting Shannon the hardest. Numerous other schools are showing Shannon a lot of attention, including Tennessee, Auburn, Alabama, South Carolina, Georgia Tech, Miami (Fla.), Florida State, West Virginia, Kansas, Marquette, Oregon, Stanford, Clemson, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Xavier, Virginia Tech and USF.
