Bradford talks about Miami performance

Sam Bradford's five touchdown performance against the Miami Hurricanes already has the nation buzzing about OU's newest quarterback and their hopes for a national championship in 2007.

Bradford talked to members of the media following the Sooners 51-13 win over Miami. His comfort level is rising with a great second half of play and three big touchdown throws to Malcolm Kelly.

Bradford on coming out of halftime after a bad second quarter…

We kind of talked about shooting ourselves in the foot. I took a sack that kind of killed a drive and that was on me. We had a fumble that killed a drive and we really kind of killed ourselves in that quarter. We knew if we played the way we could and played smart then we'd be able to move the ball. It was just kind of, get that juice back, let's get going and let's get it rolling in the third quarter.

On getting one-on-one receiver matchups against the Miami defense…

That first one to Malcolm, they went zero and I think we did hit them with that early. I think after we did that, they might have backed off. There were several times today when you looked out there and it was one-on-one with our guys.

On his comfort level this week…

I think with each day in practice and definitely with each game I feel more comfortable out there with the guys and in our system. Going out there today I felt really comfortable.
